Zee TV kicks off Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Live concerts

As part of its 20 anniversary celebrations and a gesture of gratitude towards its loyal viewers, Zee TV announced 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Live' - a series of entertainment nights across India. The concerts were held in Pune on Sept. 28, Kanpur on Oct. 5 and Lucknow on Oct. 6. They will also take place across Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Dehradun, Bhopal and Aurangabad throughout October. The shows will be the same, with just different performers in every city. Swastika Entertainment has been appointed to execute the shows in Kanpur, Lucknow, Delhi and Dehradun.


These entertainment extravaganzas feature memorable singers of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and dancing sensations from Zee TV's immensely popular dance reality show 'Dance India Dance.' These concerts will let viewers interact with their favourite artistes from the two properties.


The Lucknow concert took place at Ravindralaya Auditorium. The way to the entrance was lined up with standees of various sizes, drop-downs, banners, pull-ups, etc. The main setup included a stage with smoke and spotlights, a branded backdrop and intelligent lights on truss. A live musical band supported live performances. Live camera feed was given on a projected wall to showcase public reactions and responses.


The show got underway with the lighting of the lamp and welcoming the contestants. The singing and dancing performances then entertained the crowd. A public interaction followed where games were played, like Housie, quizzes and other one-minute games. Gifts were distributed to the winners. The 2-3 hour long evening carried on this way, before culminating with the anchor and participants interacting on stage and giving the vote of thanks.


Commenting on Swastika's role, Amit Verma, Director, Swastika Entertainment said: "The mandate given was to execute it either in outdoor or indoor venue as per the capacity of 2,000. Swastika was made responsible for the promotions before the event which included paper ads, radio jingles, van promotion, flier distribution, door knocks, posters, society banners and social committee tie-ups. We started promotions a week prior to the show, where people called us and booked their passes. Our TG was mainly families who like watching singing and dancing shows. Swastika was also given the task of getting barter deals in radio, cable, electronic partner, print partner, hospitality partner, outdoor partner, venue partner, PR and permission. For Kanpur and Lucknow, the print partner was Amar Ujala, media partner was Shri News, hospitality partner was Golden Orchid, outdoor partner was Origins and radio partners were Red FM and Big FM. We were asked to do all sorts of tie ups to pull this event successfully. It was challenging to get all the partners on board for the show and to get a great turnout on the day of the event. But as Swastika Entertainment has a huge nexus in North Indian market, we managed to get all the partners in a short span of time."
