Reliance Broadcast Network launches BIG Fame Star reality show

BIG Fame Star, a reality show that will showcase talent from India's hinterland, will soon be launched by Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd (RBNL). BIG Magic and Spark Punjabi, the regional general entertainment channels from RBNL rolled out promotional activities and initiatives leading to the launch of the show.

Swastika Entertainment was given the mandate of promoting and managing the auditions for the show in such a way that it should create a mass level awareness of the program. Swastika's role was to manage the entire setup of the Mumbai and Delhi auditions. Swastika was also asked to plan a BTL activity which would in turn help pulling the target talents to the audition venue.

BIG Fame Star conducted auditions in Mumbai at Natraj Studio on May 31 and in Delhi at Film City on June 2. A few days later, selected participants from all parts of India were called to Mumbai at Basra Studios for the final round of auditions where judges of the show were also present.

There was a 60-feet long red carpet from the entrance to the stage. A customized zone was created for Pepsi, one of the sponsors. At the Pepsi Zone, different variants and sizes of Pepsi bottles were displayed for branding. The zone also displayed posters of Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. The other sponsors were Samsung, Clean & Clear and Sudh Plus Pan Masala.

A stage was created with a platform and backdrop with side wings. Various standees of stars from the show, sponsors and associates were made and placed at vantage points near audition areas. Special 'Silver Tickets' were kept at a customized acrylic stand. These were given to the lucky participants for their entrance to the next level of the show. Placards were distributed to participants to create hype for shooting.

The auditions were promoted through various BTL activities in Mumbai and Delhi. Apart from radio, posters were placed at all vantage points to increase the awareness on a mass scale. Fliers were distributed at all busy points in Mumbai and Delhi, like at malls, railway stations, metros, markets, residential societies, recreational parks, etc. Short-listed residential societies were targeted for paper inserts. Promotional slides were run in major multiplexes which included BIG Cinemas, Fame, PVR and Cinemax. 20 prominent screens were hired for a week in both cities.

Commenting on the event, Amit Verma, Director, Swastika Entertainment said: "Having worked with Reliance since two years, we have been recommended internally by BIG Magic. Swastika is known for managing and doing the BTL promotions for reputed reality shows in the media industry like Voice Of India, Chote Ustad, Music Ka Maha Mukabala, Lil Masters, DID and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. So, we have a team which is well equipped and professional to manage any level of auditions in India and abroad. It was our routine work and thus our team managed it without any hassle."
